Mallorca lost its license for the European League

30 July 2010, 00:12:14

Last week we heard that RCD Mallorca lost its chance to play in the European League - the club hasn't met the financial requirements for the participants. In spite of the financial problems the club finished last season in the fifth position, just one point off the Champions League Zone. Villarreal (7th place) will participate from Spain istaed of Mallorca.

P.S. It's quite interesting why particularly Mallorca was punished... even Real and has enormous debts - but from year to year this team gets its European License. Just the same story with the East European giants, which are quite the best opportunity for their owners to spend some more money.
